Board member - Vitae

Haere mai, nau mai, kake mai. 

The Interchurch Trade and Mission, trading as Vitae, is a national not for profit, wellbeing organisation and is looking for a new Board member.
The Board operates at strategic level to support the operations of our Mission: for People to realise their potential and engage in healthy relationships at work, home and communities in Aotearoa New Zealand by us working in partnership with workplaces, family/whānau and communities.

The prospective member should, in addition to whakapapa Māori, have a mix of some of the following attributes: strategic thinker, culturally competent, experience in church and/or social service or wellbeing practice, have business acumen and an appreciation of the not for profit environment.

Becoming a Board member with Vitae presents a significant opportunity to influence high-level strategic directions that positively impact the estimated 120,000 employees, volunteers and their whānau and over 180,000 tertiary students who are eligible to access our services when they are struggling. As we implement our strategy, you will have the opportunity to influence how Māori are supported. It is an opportunity to be part of a complex and dynamic environment that has a genuine impact on our workplaces, family/whānau and communities throughout Aotearoa.

If you are passionate about seeing Te Tiriti o Waitangi honoured, the wellbeing of people supported, and are looking for a way to make a difference while developing your skills, we would love to have you join us.

The Board meets 4 times a year for a 2 -3 hour hui that alternates between online and one or occasionally two 2 kanohi ki te kanohi hui.
