Kia mahi ngātahi mō Pōneke mō tōna āpōpō - Working together for Wellington's future

Are you a TechnologyOne expert who enjoys building strong relationships and solving complex systems challenges? Join Wellington City Council's Financial Systems Team in this two-year fixed-term opportunity and play a key role supporting Tiaki Wai during an important transition period.

The Financial Systems Team delivers, maintains and continuously improves the financial systems that support Wellington City Council and its wider organisational environment. The team works across Council, Council Controlled Organisations and Tiaki Wai to ensure financial systems are reliable, efficient and fit for future needs.

This two-year fixed-term role has been established to support Tiaki Wai's use of Wellington City Council's shared TechnologyOne Financial Management Information System (FMIS) while Tiaki Wai develops its own future financial systems capability. Acting as the conduit between Wellington City Council and Tiaki Wai, the role provides specialist TechnologyOne expertise and supports the effective operation of the shared financial systems environment. The role is based within the Financial Systems Team and may require occasional travel to Tiaki Wai's offices in Petone.

Āu ake mahi - What you'll do

Act as the primary TechnologyOne specialist supporting Tiaki Wai within the shared FMIS environment. Provide expert advice on system configuration, maintenance, upgrades, optimisation and troubleshooting, while ensuring the integrity, performance and effective use of financial systems.

Work collaboratively with stakeholders across Tiaki Wai, the Financial Systems team, Digital and Technology teams, and external suppliers to resolve issues, deliver system improvements, coordinate testing and upgrades, and support business needs.

Contribute to planning and transition activities as Tiaki Wai prepares to establish its future financial systems environment.

Ngā tohu me ngā wheako - Qualifications and experience

This role requires an experienced TechnologyOne professional with strong technical capability and excellent relationship management skills.

A minimum of three years' experience working with TechnologyOne financial systems, including Ci and Ci Anywhere (CiA), is essential. Strong knowledge of system administration, configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, user access management, integrations and financial system processes is required. Success in this role will come from the ability to build trusted relationships, communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, solve complex problems and confidently operate across organisational boundaries.

A relevant qualification in accounting, finance, information systems or a related discipline would be advantageous.

Nōu te rourou - What's in it for you

Working for the Council offers you a range of benefits including 5 weeks annual leave, flexible working options, health and wellbeing support, Council staff discounts and a range of learning and development programmes and opportunities.
