Kitchen Assistant / Cook
Monte Vista Residential Care is seeking a reliable and caring Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join our team.
Key Duties:
- Assist with meal preparation and cooking
- Serve meals to residents according to their individual needs
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Wash dishes and clean kitchen equipment
- Follow the Food Control Plan and food safety requirements
About You:
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Compassionate and respectful towards older people
- Extensive knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (Treaty of Waitangi)
- Able to pass a Police Vetting check
- Previous kitchen or aged care experience is an advantage but not essential
Hours:
Shifts generally run from 7:30 am – 2:00 pm
Tea shift 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm as required
Weekend availability is essential.
Full training and orientation will be provided.
