HIVE Waitohi is Wellington City Libraries' vibrant makerspace - a place for curiosity, creativity and community connection. We're looking for a Makerspace Coordinator to work closely with our Makerspace Specialist to support the day-to-day delivery of makerspace services, programmes and events, and help grow community knowledge and engagement with maker technologies.
This is a hands-on, people-focused role suited to someone who enjoys working with the public, supporting creative activity, and learning alongside others.

Working closely with the Makerspace Specialist, you will support the delivery of services, programmes and events and help grow community knowledge and engagement with maker technologies.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support and assist customers with all services and technologies offered
- Deliver programmes and events developed by the Makerspace Specialist and Library Specialists
- Follow all operational procedures as set by the Makerspace Specialist
- Assist with staff training on tools and technologies
- Assist with routine maintenance and technical support
Ngā tohu me ngā wheako - qualifications and experience
We're looking for people with strong experience in busy public-facing environments with some hands-on experience or knowledge of maker tools and technologies (for example, digital fabrication, creative technologies, electronics, crafting or similar), a willingness to learn, experiment and problem-solve, and great communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach.

We are looking to appoint from $65,219 per annum for this role, depending on relevant skills and experience.
