MITO is looking for a Marketing Events and Engagement Advisor to join their team at National Office in Wellington. At MITO, they are dedicated to building a future-ready, highly skilled workforce that drives innovation and productivity across New Zealand’s automotive, commercial road transport, logistics, extractives, mining, quarrying, drilling, and gas industries. As part of their Marketing and Communications Group, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality events and engagement initiatives that enhances brand visibility and strengthens relationships with stakeholders across Aotearoa.

About the role:

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver exceptional external-facing events such as industry conferences, expos, and sector engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and execute internal engagement events
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote events and engagement initiatives effectively.
  • Manage event logistics including budgets, venues, catering, AV requirements, promotional materials and more.
  • Monitor event performance by gathering feedback and providing insights for continuous improvement.

  • Proven experience in event management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • The ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
