This role focuses on the delivery of culturally grounded teaching and learning experiences that reflect te reo rangatira and tikanga Māori approaches to health and wellbeing, and supports tauira in their academic and professional journey.  The Lecturer will also contribute to curriculum development, engage in research, and uphold the values of manaakitanga, whanaungatanga, and kaitiakitanga in all aspects of your work.  This position will also teach and support other sites and disciplines when required.

Our ideal candidate will meet or exceed the following criteria;

·. Master’s Degree relevant to the field of Tikanga me Te Reo Māori or Mātauranga Māori.

·. Adult teaching qualification.

·  Tertiary teaching experience relevant to Tikanga me Te Reo Māori or Mātauranga Māori.

·  Experience in the delivery of the prescribed courses and programmes specifically Tikanga me Te Reo Māori.

·  Mātauranga Māori practitioner amongst the community.

·  Networks with marae, iwi, hapū and/or community groups.

·  Proven research experience including evidence of Mātauranga Māori relevant research practice.

·  Te Reo Māori skills at an advanced level and an advance knowledge and application of tikanga Māori.

·  A current, unrestricted private motor vehicle licence.
