Are you a strategic communicator, passionate about kaupapa Māori and community wellbeing? We are looking for an experienced Comms and Marketing Manager to lead our national marketing and comm efforts.

Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role

We are seeking an effective and experienced Communications and Marketing Manager to lead the marketing and communication efforts of Te Rau Ora. This includes gathering and promoting insights from our key stakeholders in the health sector, communities, and whānau. It also includes growing our internal capability in the Communication and Marketing space, in particular our ability to fully potentiate the use of Digital Platforms. You will also drive our community engagement work programme, advocating for community perspectives with a focus on achieving Māori aspirations for Oranga.

About You:

You can be based anywhere in the motu and will have experience managing a team remotely. A self-starter, you can work autonomously, inspire as a strategic leader, and collaborate effectively as a team player. Your skills in building strong community connections, both online and kanohi-ki-te-kanohi, will be vital. You'll have a strong understanding of key drivers for success through partnerships and public health sector connections, particularly with Māori communities. A demonstrated understanding of te ao Māori and the role of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in providing a framework for a culturally safe environment in Aotearoa is essential. Experience with Agile methodologies and proven experience working across multiple digital platforms including social media is a plus.
