About the Mahi (Role)

Do you enjoy helping others and creating a warm, welcoming environment? Are you organised, detail-focused, and quick to learn new systems?

We are looking for an exceptional Clinic Administrator to join our Gisborne Clinic in a part-time role. You will be one of two Clinic Administrators, working together to keep the clinic running smoothly and ensuring a great experience for our clients and team. This position is for 17 hours per week, worked across Thursdays and Fridays.

You will support our clinical team and help keep the clinic running smoothly. Full training and ongoing support will be provided by the Gisborne Clinic Manager and Administration Team Leader.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will:

  • Greet and assist patients
  • Manage bookings and referrals
  • Handle invoicing and clinic supplies
  • Support ACC, insurer, and third-party admin tasks
  • Be a key point of contact for clients and the team

About the Gisborne Team

Join a supportive, close-knit team of Physiotherapists and an Exercise Consultant who collaborate with a wider network of health professionals—including Orthopaedic Specialists, Psychologists, Counsellors, and Pharmacists—to deliver high-quality, integrated care.

You will work in a modern, purpose-built clinic near Balance Street Village—home to great coffee, local eats, and everything you need for a great workday.

About You

Our ideal candidate will be someone who has a great attitude and can provide excellent customer service!

Two years of administration experience is desirable but not essential.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A genuine interest in working in healthcare
  • Able to demonstrate empathy with clients
  • A positive and helpful attitude
  • Excellent customer service with the ability to communicate well internally and externally
  • Computer proficiency skills and accurate data entry
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ideally, an understanding of Tikanga and commitment to developing cultural competence in Te Ao Māori
