Join us in a pivotal role dedicated to empowering Māori student success within the Division of Arts, Law, Psychology and Social Sciences (ALPSS)!
We are seeking a passionate individual to lead and coordinate effective support services for Māori students, enhancing their retention, achievement, and completion rates. Based at Te Pūoho, you will play a key role in implementing and managing initiatives that align with the strategic goals of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Māori and the University's Rautaki Māori, as well as the ALPSS strategic plan. Working closely with ALPSS student services - Te Puna Tautoko, and wider university networks, you will ensure Māori students are well supported and can confidently navigate their academic journey. You'll also play an active role in identifying and addressing barriers to learning and engagement, driving meaningful change and fostering a culturally supportive and thriving learning environment. This is more than a role - it's a chance to make a lasting impact.
Salary will be in the range of $71,275 to $84,695 per year, pro-rated, based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a part-time (16.5 hours a week), fixed-term role until December 2025, based on our Hillcrest Campus.

Te Wānanga o Ngā Kete the Division of Arts, Law, Psychology and Social Sciences (ALPSS) includes Te Kura Toi the School of Arts, Te Kura Aronui the School of Social Sciences, Te Kura Whatu Oho Mauri the School of Psychology, and Te Piringa the Faculty of Law. The Division also contains two research institutes: Te Ngira the Institute for Population Research (IPR) and Te Puna Haumaru the New Zealand Institute for Security and Crime Science (NZISCS).
