We are searching for a visionary Chief Executive to lead us in our mission of empowering communities across Auckland and Northland. This pivotal role offers the chance to shape the future of philanthropy and community development in Aotearoa. As Chief Executive, you will:
- Provide strategic leadership and guide the organisation in achieving its vision and goals.
- Lead an experienced team of leaders and work closely with the governance board to advance Foundation North’s purpose.
- Be a guardian of our 15 year strategic plan, ensuring excellence in its delivery and our ongoing alignment with its intention.
- Foster meaningful partnerships across sectors and engage with diverse communities in our rohe, including Māori, Pasifika, Rainbow, New Migrant, Refugee and Disability populations.
- Act as an ambassador for the Foundation, building connections locally to amplify our impact.
- Continue to lead the organisation through a journey of Te Tiriti o Waitangi implementation.

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience as a Chief Executive, with a track record of leading leaders and reporting to a governance board.
- Exceptional strategic acumen, with experience both crafting and implementing strategic plans.
- Comprehensive general management expertise, including financial and investment oversight.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a deep understanding of philanthropy, community partnerships, and social impact models.
- A humble, servant leadership approach along with demonstrated commitment to the values of inclusion and equity.
- Competence, or a commitment to develop, in te reo me tikanga Māori.
