Are you an Associate/ Senior Associate with 5+ years of experience including residential conveyancing, project sales conveyancing, property development law, and commercial property transactions across New Zealand or Australia? Do you have enhanced technical skills, and find joy in both getting the work done and leading others to success? About the role:
This is a multifaceted role, with a hands-on functional component servicing the needs of our commercial and developer clients, mentoring staff, and being the resident expert in NZ property law. You would be an integral part of the business, helping to develop and grow lawlab’s presence in the NZ market, while receiving training and support from already successful and thriving Australian jurisdictions.
• Provide training, mentoring, and technical advice in the local Auckland office
• You will become a director of the business, responsible for the trust account
• Work with the Legal Director and Projects Team
• Drafting complex property and commercial legal documents, and settling those drafted by junior lawyers
• Providing client advice on complex transactions and documents
• Managing a portfolio of clients and client files
• New business development
• Commercial transactional work
• Compliance and escalations
• Resource and process development
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate experience with:
• Residential conveyancing
• Property development law (including strata development laws)
• Project sales conveyancing
• Commercial property sales and purchase transactions
• Relationship management
• Leadership and mentoring
